The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the men's squads for the upcoming white-ball tour of India and the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan. This marks England's first limited-overs tour under the guidance of Head Coach Brendon McCullum.
He has extended his responsibilities from the Test side to white-ball cricket. England's itinerary begins with five T20Is and three ODIs against India before heading to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy in February and March. The tour commences on January 17, with the first T20I set for January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Yorkshire batter Joe Root has been recalled to the ODI squad for the first time since the 2023 World Cup in India. Meanwhile, Test captain Ben Stokes has been excluded as he continues to recover from a left hamstring injury.
The injury he sustained during the Test series against New Zealand. This decision aims to prepare him for crucial future assignments, including the 2025/26 Ashes. The T20I squad sees the inclusion of young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed from Leicestershire.
Rising star Jacob Bethell, who impressed with his recent performances, has been selected for both squads. Notably, wicketkeeping duties could rotate, with captain Jos Buttler being supported by Jamie Smith and Phil Salt.
