England beat New Zealand by three wickets

SYDNEY, Jan 16 (Reuters) England beat New Zealand by three wickets with just one ball to spare in the third tri-series one-day international in Hobart today, registering their first win on their tour in Australia.

Andrew Flintoff steered England to a thrilling victory with an unbeaten 72 off 75 balls after Ian Bell posted 45.

England seamer James Anderson had earlier captured four wickets to restrict New Zealand to a modest total of 205 for nine from their 50 overs.

The victory was England's first on their tour of Australia after nine defeats and three draws.
