London, July 29: England's cricket team has found a novel way to endear themselves to the London public, catching the tube to the The Oval for the third day's play of the third Test against South Africa on Saturday (July 29).
Despite being locked in a tense series with South Africa, squared at one-all with the hosts on top in this ongoing Test, Joe Root's squad swiped their Oyster cards and jumped aboard the local public transport option to make their way from Bank station to Kennington station on the south side of the Thames, reports cricket.com.au.

They were greeted in London's renowned underground network by a Sky Sports billboard that included, among other famous athletes, an image of England quick Stuart Broad.
The move from Root's England isn't a first for modern-day sportspeople - in 2010, French footballer Thierry Henry famously rode the subway to his Major League Soccer debut in New York City to experience first-hand the local supporters.
