England Lions vs India A, 2nd Unofficial Test Live Score: Rain Stops Play In Northampton Before Woakes Removes Jaiswal, Easwaran Cheaply

By MyKhel Staff

With weather expected to aid seamers early on, Rew's decision looked like a tactical move to exploit morning conditions. India A, coming off an entertaining draw in the first unofficial Test, rang in four changes to their playing XI.

Hello and welcome to the live updates of the second unofficial Test between India A and England Lions, starting today at County Ground in Northamptonshire. Abhimanyu Easwaran is leading the Indian side in the four-day game as the tourists prepare for the challenging 5-Test series i.e. The Sachin Tendulkar-James Anderson Trophy.

In the first unofficial Test, India A showcased strong batting form. Karun Nair smashed a commanding 207 in the first innings total of 557, while Sarfaraz Khan once again underlined his consistency with a well-made 92.

The Lions matched that effort with 587, thanks to opener Tom Haines' unbeaten 103 and a solid 64 from Max Holden. India A responded briskly in the second innings, with Jaiswal, Easwaran, Jurel, and Nitish Reddy all notching up fifties as the match ended in a draw.

The contest in Northampton offers a fresh chance for fringe players to make a case for national selection.
