England ODI team arrive in city en route London

Bangalore, Nov 28 (UNI) The England one-day team arrived in the city from Bhubaneshwar this evening for a transit halt en route London after it cut short its seven-match series against India following terror attack in Mumbai.

The ECB had asked its team, trailing 0-5, to return home after the terror attack on India's financial capital.

Earlier, the High Performance Team from England led by former England Captain Michael Vaughan left the city for London this morning after cutting short their month-long training camp midway for the same reason.

They were supposed to have played the other two matches in Guwahati and Delhi respectively.

The team would fly out of the city to London tomorrow morning.

They had been taken to a five star hotel in the city which was converted into a virtual fortress by a large group of police and private security personnel.

The media was not allowed into the hotel and its General Manager, who came out on the road to meet the mediapersons, requested them not to reveal the name of the hotel the team was staying due to security reasons.
