England vs Pakistan 3rd T20I Weather Forecast: Will Rain Play Spoilsport at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff?

In T20 World Cup 2024 build up, England will look to take an unassailable lead in the four-match series when they take on Pakistan in the third T20I at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff, Wales on Tuesday (May 28).

The series opener between Jos Buttler's England and Babar Azam's Pakistan at the Headingley ended in disappointment after the game was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to persistent rain in Leeds.

However, there was no interruption in the second T20I at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium in Birmingham, where the hosts ran away winners by 23 runs, defending a total of 183 after bundling out the visitors for 160.

With parts of the United Kingdom witnessing rains and one game of the series falling to showers, will the weather interrupt proceedings at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff during the ENG vs PAK 3rd T20I? Here is a look at the Cardiff weather forecast for England vs Pakistan 3rd T20I at Sophia Gardens:

Cardiff Weather Forecast on Tuesday, May 28

According to AccuWeather, the forecast for May 28 in Cardiff says there is chance of rain for most part of the day, especially post noon with maximum temperate at 16° C during the start of the match at 6:30 PM Local Time.

Rain Prediction for Cardiff on May 28: There is 70 percent chance for precipitation on Tuesday (May 28) around the Sophia Gardens. The sky is set to remain cloudy with chances of play without interruption looking very bleak, as per AccuWeather.

BBC, however, predicts that there is 20 to 90 percent chance of showers throughout the day. So an interruption or wash out may be on the cards at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Tuesday (May 28).

The MET office, on the other hand, forecasts 30 to 50 percent chance of rain during the playing hours in Cardiff on May 28. So, there is chance that we could see another wash out in this series.

There is also a good chance that the next match, the final game of the series, at the Oval in London on Thursday (May 30) may also fall victim to rain. If that happens, Pakistan will go into the T20 World Cup without any real warm up.
