
England Women vs South Africa Women T20 WC Semi-Final: It was a historical afternoon at the Newlands in Cape Town as hosts South Africa have qualified for the Women's T20 WC final with a win over England by 6 runs.
Batting first, the hosts scored 164/4 courtesy of some outstanding batting by Laura Wolvaardt (53 off 44 balls) and Tazmin Brits (68 off 55 balls). Marizanne Kapp also played a breezy 27 at the end as South Africa reached a competitive total at the end of their 20 overs.
England, in reply, only managed 158/8 as they bow out of the tournament. South African pacer Ayabionga Khaka produced a terrific performance with the ball, with a fantastic spell of 4/29 in her four overs. Veteran bowler Shabnim Ismail, who bowled the last over, was outstanding as well. She finished up with another impressive spell of 3/27 as the Proteas created history by reaching the final of the tournament.

There were some outstanding performances across the South African team and deservedly they have booked the final date with Australia.

Nadine de Klerk of South Africa had the best economy of the match with 4.25, as she finished with figures of 1/17 in her four overs.
Tazmin Brits was awarded the player of the match for her outstanding 68 off just 55 balls. She also picked up four catches during the fielding.
"Very disappointed but it was a fantastic game of cricket. Hopefully, we can come back in the next tournament and be stronger.
"I think there is a huge talent. It's T20 cricket, sometimes these fine margins happen and you lose the game. The girls are really bright and we are going in the right direction.
