After the India vs South Africa 2nd and final Test ends in 1.5 days at the Newlands in Cape Town, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has said there is enough time for the venue to host another Test to get an outright winner in the series.
Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah combined to ensure the Cape Town Test ended early after the Indian pacers picked six wickets each in the first and second innings respectively. The 7-wicket win, meant India secured their first Test win in Cape Town.

Following the win, Pietersen took to social media to suggest that a series decider could still be played at the venue, which saw 23 wickets fall on the first day, and 10 wickets inside the second session on day 2.
"There's enough time to play the 3rd and deciding Test match to start tomorrow in Cape Town. There'll absolutely be a result in the series and the players won't miss their scheduled flights home," Pietersen posted on X.
The result in Cape Town meant that the series finished 1-1 with both teams sharing the trophy. The series has met a lot of criticism from all corners for not featuring enough matches as many felt a third or deciding match could have been great for Test cricket.
The second Test saw India walking away victorious with a seven-wicket victory within around 1.5 days. A total of 642 deliveries were bowled in both innings, making it the shortest Test match in history in terms of balls bowled.
Before this red ball affair, the Australia and South Africa Test in 1932 in Melbourne was the shortest Test in terms of balls bowled. A total of 656 deliveries were bowled which saw the hosts emerge victorious by an innings and 72 runs.
West Indies clash against England in 1935 in Bridgetown was completed in 672 balls which saw the Caribbean side emerging triumphant by an innings and 161 runs.
