Ex-Oz PM Howard in Cardiff to support Australia in first Ashes Test

Cardiff (Wales), July 8 (ANI): Former Australian Prime Minister John Howard has arrived in Cardiff to support Australia as the Ashes commences today.

According to the Courier Mail, Howard has arrived with his wife Janette and has met the team and the selectors.

Test skipper Ricky Ponting has received a letter of Ashes support from current Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

Last year, cricket lover Howard realised one of his greatest ambitions when he made it to the Caribbean to watch Australia defeat the West Indies in a Test at Sabina Park. (ANI)
