The sudden emergence of reports suggesting India star Rinku Singh getting engaged with Priya Saroj put the fans in a whirlwind on Friday (January 17).
Various reports on social media claimed that the India star has exchanged rings with Saroj, a 26-year-old Lawyer who is also a Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh.

The rumors of the engagement between Priya Saroj, an SP MP from Machhlishahr in Uttar Pradesh, and Team India's cricketer Rinku Singh gained traction on various social media platforms.
This speculation was fueled by the personal and political prominence of Priya, who succeeded in securing the Machhlishahr seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on an SP ticket. Priya, born in Varanasi and educated in New Delhi, has a background that combines political heritage with academic rigor, having completed her schooling at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute followed by a BA from Delhi University.
Despite circulating rumors, SP MLA Toofani Saroj has clarified that his daughter, Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj, and Indian cricketer Rinku Singh are not engaged. This statement comes amidst widespread speculation on social media regarding the engagement of the duo. Toofani Saroj, a three-time MP and current MLA, emphasized the importance of careful consideration in matters of marriage, highlighting that while the potential union between his daughter and Singh is under serious contemplation, reports of their engagement are untrue.
Mr Saroj has outright dismissed the rumors of his daughter's engagement to Rinku Singh. In a conversation with ABP News, he clarified that the engagement news that has been making rounds is indeed false. He revealed that discussions regarding the relationship between Priya and Rinku have taken place, particularly through conversations with Rinku Singh's family and Priya's elder brother-in-law, who holds a judicial position in Aligarh. However, he stressed that no engagement has occurred.
But MyKhel can confirm that Rinku Singh has indeed completed his engagement with Priya Saroj. Sources told MyKhel that the India player has exchanged rings with his fiancee but the family's reason for denial is unknown. The source also told that the KKR star has already bought a property for his future wife.
