Fact Check: Sara Tendulkar wishes Shubman Gill speedy recovery?

By MyKhel Staff

A couple of posts coming from the name of Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara Tendulkar is making rounds on social media.

India are going to play their second match of the ICC World Cup 2023 and the opening batter Shubman Gill looks set to miss the match will illness.

Shubman Gill

On October 6, a tweet was circulating around the platform X, formerly known as Twitter, where from an account named Sara Tendulkar wished Shubman Gill a speddy recovery.

Gill has been diagnosed with dengue and didn't play the first match against Australia. The batter is now going to miss the second match against Afghanistan as well as he is still ill.

Infact, Gill was submitted to a Chennai hospital after his platelet count decreased to 70,000. Although the player since has been released, he is still under strict medical observation and is likely to miss at least a week or two.

Amid this, a social media post from an account named Sara Tendulkar has been making rounds today (October 10) as well.

"Don't worry baby you'll come back stronger," the post read from the account. Netizens since have gone crazy and have tried to find different angles on the post.

Did Sara Tendulkar make the post?

But it looks like the post made on October 10 is from a different account from the earlier one. If you take a closer look, you will realise although the name is same, the id of the accounts are different.

Hence we can safely say the latest post is fake and even there have been reports the earlier post was also from a fake account of Sara Tendulkar. Although the post has made a massive reach, but it seems that one also doesn't have any credibility.
