India are scheduled to play a three-match Test series against New Zealand starting October 16, but all the focus is on the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in Australia. The series will consist of five Test matches this time, with the first Test set to be played in Perth from November 22.
The series will feature the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Steve Smith, Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins, Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Starc, and therefore there is no doubt that a blockbuster contest is on the cards.

Fans are eagerly waiting with anticipation and hoping for India's third consecutive Test series win in Australia. One fan got the opportunity to put out a direct request to Virat Kohli at the Mumbai airport.
In a video which is going viral, a fan, most probably a cameraperson by profession, could be heard saying, "BGT me aag lagani hai ekdam."
A curious Virat Kohli stopped and inquired what the fan was saying by asking, "Kisme? (Fire in what?)." The fan repeated his request after which the superstar batter said, "Accha (Ok)."
Virat Kohli had flown to London to his wife and kids after India's 2-0 win over Bangladesh. The 35-year-old will now be seen in action against New Zealand in the first Test starting October 16 in Bengaluru.
Kohli would be looking to find his form before boarding the flight to Australia. In the four innings against Bangladesh, Kohli scored 6, 17, 47 and 29*. Despite a fifty, Kohli has jumped six places and is currently ranked sixth in the ICC Test rankings for batters.
