The master-blaster Tendulkar reportedly asked, "Will the Minister of Railways be pleased to state the rationale behind creating a new zone for Kolkata Metro and whether it can be replicated in other cities such as Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi that also have similar suburban rail services; the criteria that a suburban railway system must fulfil to enable it to be notified as a separate zone; and whether the above three cities fulfil that criteria and are eligible for being notified as separate zones?."

His query was answered in the form of written reply by Manoj Sinha, the Minister of State for Railways.

On Monday, Dec 7, Tendulkar asked second question from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways for the issuing of driving licences.

The batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar became Rajya Sabha on June 3, 2012. In the past, he has drew criticism for the lack of his presence in Parliament.

Surprisingly, in last three years, he never asked any question!

On Sept 1, 2015, Tendulkar became the member of the Parliament Committee on Information Technology.

42-year-old Tendulkar, who announced his retirement from international cricket in 2013, also endorses various brands.
