Former India cricketer David Johnson has passed away at the age of 52 on Thursday (June 20).
David Johnson has reportedly committed suicide after jumping from the 4th floor of a private building in Bengaluru, while other sources are claiming the former player fell from the balcony which caused his immediate death.

The police of the Kothanur Police Station came to the scene after the incident. It is thought that the former Karnataka Ranji cricketer was struggling with mental health issues for the time.
Former India coach Anil Kumble shared the news and expressed his sadness.
"Saddened to hear the passing of my cricketing colleague David Johnson. Heartfelt condolences to his family. Gone too soon Benny," Kumble wrote on his X profile.
Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who is front runner to be the next head coach of the Indian men's cricket team, also posted on X, "Saddened by the passing away of David Johnson. May god give strength to his family and loved ones."
BCCI secretary Jay Shah also tweeted and wrote his thoughts on the former India player's sad demise. Shah posted, "Deepest condolences to family and friends of our former Indian fast bowler David Johnson. His contributions to the game will always be remembered."
MyKhel was told by a source close to the Kothanur Police Station that the corpse of the former India player was found only adjacent to his residence.
David Johnson played 2 Tests for India. He was a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium pacer. He scored 8 runs in those matches and also picked up 3 wickets for the national team. His debut was against Australia in 1996 and his final match came against South Africa in Durban in the same year.
