Former MI player Vignesh Puthur creates World Record for Kerala in Vijay Hazare Trophy with 6 Catches

In a stunning display of fielding brilliance, Kerala's Vignesh Puthur etched his name into cricket history by taking six catches in a single innings during a Vijay Hazare Trophy group-stage match against Tripura at Gujarat College Cricket Ground 'A' in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (December 24).

The 25-year-old's record-breaking haul as a pure fielder (no wicketkeeping involved) eclipses the previous List-A benchmark of five catches in an innings, a mark shared by 21 players over the years.
