Former Ranji player Chalam dies due to illness

Vijayawada, Nov 21 (UNI) Former Andhra Ranji Trophy Player N S Chalam died this evening at a hospital in Hyderabad after a prolonged illness, according to a release from Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) here.

He was 72. He is survived by two daughters and a son.

The funeral would take place in Hyderabad tomorrow.

ACA President S L Narayana Rao and others also expressed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
