India's premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been making the waves with the ball ever since the start of the World Test Championship. It is worth noting that he is the leading wicket-taking fast bowler for Team India in the WTC.
Known for his unique bowling action, the right-arm pacer has accounted for 106 dismissals in just 24 games at an outstanding bowling average of 19.40, including 7 five-wicket hauls. There have been four occasions where he totally showcased his dexterity with the ball in WTC.

The 30-year-old led the bowling attack by example by going all out in the second Test in the Vizag Test, where he registered an impressive bowling spell in the game which helped India restrict England to 255 in the first innings.
The Ahmedabad-born took six wickets in the first innings and followed it up with three more wickets in the second innings. His match-winning spell helped India turn the tide and level the series and was named the Man of the Match.
Bumrah’s second best bowling figures in the WTC also came against England. His 'sling arm action' made it tough for the English batsmen to pick up the lengths even at their home conditions where they played right into the hands of the pacer and ended up throwing their wickets.
The fast bowler picked up four wickets in the first innings before taking a fifer in the second innings in Nottingham, a game that ended in a draw.
The yorker specialist gave the Lankans a run for their money during the 2022 home Test assignment. He took his bowling to the next level with a decisive five-wicket haul in the first innings before he bagged three more wickets in the second innings, and drew plaudits for his exceptional bowling performance in Bengaluru. India won the game by a colossal margin of 228 runs.
In the second Test match against South Africa in January this year, Jasprit Bumrah played one of the crucial roles in helping India square the series against South Africa. It is quite obvious that South African pitches are renowned for their pace and bounce, making them conducive for fast bowlers.
Meanwhile, Bumrah, who has deadly weapons such as a potent bouncer, and a deceptive slower ball, varying pace in his armoury, made his presence count by taking 2 wickets in the first innings and 6 wickets in the second innings. India won the game by 7 wickets and leveled the series.
