From Karun Nair To Prasidh Krishna – 5 Maharaja Trophy 2025 Stars Who Played For India

The Maharaja Trophy T20 2025 promises to be a riveting spectacle, not just for its emerging talents, but also for the presence of several established names who have represented India at the highest level.

Among this year's marquee players are five Indian internationals whose experience and pedigree add immense value to the tournament.

Maharaja Trophy 2025

Karun Nair, remembered for his historic triple century against England in 2016, is one of the most high-profile batters in the competition. Scoring 303* in only his third Test match, Nair became just the second Indian to achieve the feat. While his appearances for the national side was negligible before making a comeback this year for the England Tour. Nonetheless he still remains a pillar in the domestic circuit and brings class and composure to any lineup he features in. He is the top run-getter in the history of this tournament and will play for defending champions Mysore Warriors.

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna is another major attraction in the Mysore Warriors squad. The lanky Karnataka pacer made a sensational ODI debut against England in 2021, claiming 4 wickets and announcing himself as one for the future. Known for his steep bounce and aggressive bowling style, Prasidh's presence will be a huge boost to his franchise and a challenge for opposing batters. He is also presently part of the Indian squad, touring in England for the Test series.

Leading the Bengaluru Blasters once again is Mayank Agarwal, a dependable top-order batter with multiple Test and ODI appearances for India. Agarwal's composed approach and leadership skills were on full display last season, guiding his team to the final. With the Blasters finishing as runners-up in both 2022 and 2024, the experienced right-hander will be aiming to finally clinch the title in 2025. In this very year, he was also part of the RCB squad that lifted the IPL title.

Joining the fray is veteran Manish Pandey, who was snapped up by reigning champions Mysore Warriors for ₹12.20 lakhs. A former India white-ball regular, Pandey brings years of experience and proven finishing ability. His calm demeanor under pressure could prove decisive in close games.

Finally, Devdutt Padikkal, the most expensive buy of 2025 at ₹13.20 lakhs, rounds off the list. A stylish left-hander will play for Hubli Tigers in the upcoming season, who has already featured in Tests and T20Is for India. Padikkal's flair and consistency at the top make him one of the most exciting young players in the tournament.

Together, these five Indian internationals elevate the Maharaja Trophy's status, providing fans with a perfect blend of star power and competitive cricket.
