From Twitter: Fans trend 'HBD MSD in 7 days' for captain MS Dhoni

Bengaluru, July 1: India captain MS Dhoni might be under pressure after the ODI series loss to Bangladesh recently but the support for him on social media is increasing. The skipper's 34th birthday is still a week away but fans on Twitter have started trending "HBD MSD in 7 days" from last night (June 30).

"HBD MSD in 7 days" was one of the top trends on Twitter as fans saluted Dhoni for his contributions to Indian cricket.

The wicketkeeper-batsman, who will turn 34 on July 7 (Tuesday), is currently enjoying his break from cricket as he has been rested for the Zimbabwe tour. Ajinkya Rahane was named as the stand-in captain for the 3 ODIs and 2 T20Is.

Dhoni came under heavy criticism following the series defeat to Bangladesh. However, he has gained a lot of support from former players and his team-mates after there were calls for him to step down from captaincy. (Want to be calm as Dhoni: Rahane)
