The five franchises will look to add players to their squads for the second edition of the Women's Premier League, during the upcoming WPL 2024 Auction, which is scheduled to take place in Mumbai on Saturday (December 9).

Defending champions Mumbai Indians, runners up Delhi Capitals as well as Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriorz and Gujarat Giants will be locked in bidding wars as they look to assemble their squads for the new season of WPL.

A total of 165 players will go under the hammer as teams look to strengthen their squads for the next season of Women's Premier League that is slated to take place next year in the March window.

Up to 30 players, including 9 overseas players, can be bought during the auction process in which some capped players will be the main attraction, but some uncapped players also can become breakout stars like last season.

Among the 165 players, 94 players are uncapped and most of them come into the auction with a base price of Rs 10 Lakhs. Only 2 players - Shivali Shinde and Aditi Chauhan - have registered their names at Rs 20 Lakhs base price.

Of the 94 uncapped players, only 10 are from outside India with six players from Australia, four players from England amd 84 players from across India. The Indian list features several players from the bygone 'A' Team series vs England.

Tess Flintoff, Nicola Hancock and the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2023 leading wicket-taker Sophie Day are among the 6 Australians in the list, while several players who were part of the squads last season also feature on the list.

India 'A' team's Uma Chetry, Vrinda Dinesh, G Divya, Arushi Goel are also on the uncapped players list. Here is a look at the uncapped overseas and Indian players list:
