Ganguly happy to shoulder responsibility

Bangalore, Dec 12 (UNI) Former captain and third Test double centurion Sourav Ganguly today said his great form against the Pakistanis was not due to change in batting style or any adjustments in technique.

''I did not change my technique or did anything special after my comeback to the Indian side. This is my natural game and I will continue to play it the same way,'' said Ganguly, who plundered 534 runs in six innings besides claiming three wickets, after he was adjudged player of the series.

The Bengal southpaw, who spent eight months in the wilderness between 2005 and 2006 after a public spat with former coach Greg Chappell, said he felt happy to have helped the team win the series and play a greater part in the third Test after the team lost its main players like Sachin Tendulkar and vice-captain MS Dhoni.

Ganguly said India would give the Australians a run for their money in their own backyard in the four-Test series beginning December 26.

''We are confident of doing well in Australia. The bowlers are ready for the tough task. No doubt about this,'' the Bengal southpaw, who scored one double century and a century against Pakistan in the series, said.
