Ganguly's 91 helps Knight Riders pile up 204 for four

Hyderabad, May 11 (UNI) Saurav Ganguly's knock of 91 enabled Kolkata Knight Riders post an impressive 204 for four against Deccan Chargers in the return leg of the Indian Premier League at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here today.

After a bad start with the exit of Salman Butt, who succumbed to an outswinger from Chaminda Vaas caught by Adam Gilchrist, the southpaw steadied the innings determined to earn a berth for the vistors in the semifinals.

Ganguly, who elected to bat first, added 69 runs along with Chopra((24) for the second wicket and 102 runs for the third wicket along with unbeaten D J Hussey(57). The stroke-filled knock of visiting team's skipper Ganguly included 11 boundaries and five sixes.

The charged up Ganguly was unfortunate to miss century as Vijaykumar got the much-needed breakthrough for the clueless Deccan Chargers when the former got a top edge trying to hook over fine leg. R P Singh made no mistake in holding the catch.
