Gautam Gambhir has already bid adieu to Kolkata Knight Riders and the KKR mentor's departure is likely to be announced soon.
A report from Times Now suggests that Gautam Gambhir attended a farewell event from the Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata on Friday.

Gambhir, who led KKR to two IPL titles, visited Eden Gardens to film a farewell video for the franchise and its fans. The report also says that the video will highlight his journey with KKR.
"It was a low-key affair, but Gambhir wanted to bid goodbye to his fans with a message and that is why they shot a video at the Eden," a CAB official was quoted as saying by the media.
Gambhir has a strong bond with KKR and Eden Gardens. He was the first captain to lead the team to IPL victories in 2012 and 2014. After departure in IPL 2018, Gambhir came back this year as mentor and did magic as KKR lifted an IPL trophy after a decade.
The former India player has had a deep bond with Kolkata as well. But it seems that the reconciliation of Gambhir with KKR has ended just after a year. The Knight Riders may announce Gambhir's departure officially soon.
There is nothing confirmed yet regarding the next India head coach but several reports have indicated the Delhite to take over the charges from Rahul Dravid, who had a victorious swansong as India lifted the T20 World Cup.
Gambhir has already had an interview with BCCI and is one of the frontrunners for the high-profile job.
BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced on Monday that India will have a new head coach starting from the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka later this month. However, he did not disclose any names. The Indian team is scheduled to play three T20Is and three ODIs in Sri Lanka beginning July 27.
