A report from Cricblogger claims confusion over pitch conditions and strategic instructions such as urging batters to adopt a defensive approach, aiming only to survive rather than play their natural game, which frustrated several players.

As per the report, Gambhir has become a non-playing captain and his dictatorship-like approach has created a toxic atmosphere.
