Gautam Gambhir press conference live streaming: Gautam Gambhir, the newly-appointed head coach of the Indian cricket team, will hold a pre-departure press-conference ahead of the Sri Lanka tour on Monday, July 22.

It will be Gautam Gambhir's first media interaction and press conference after being appointed as the head coach of the senior India men's cricket team. Gautam Gambhir's press conference will start from 10:00 AM IST and live stream on JioCinema.

"The Gautam Gambhir era begins," the official X handle of JioCinema wrote while making the announcement.

India are very likely to leave for Sri Lanka after Gautam Gambhir's first press conference as Team India head coach. India are scheduled to play three T20Is and as many ODIs on their white-ball tour of the island nation.

While Suryakumar Yadav would be leading the Indian T20I side, Rohit Sharma would come out of his vacation mode to captain the ODI side which also features Virat Kohli. The duo retired from T20I cricket after India won the T20 World Cup 2024 last month in West Indies.

Gautam Gambhir reportedly requested Rohit and Virat to make themselves available for the ODI series as there would be another month-long break before for the Men in Blue after Sri Lanka. India will face Bangladesh in a home Test series in mid September.

Gambhir is likely to talk about his blueprint for Team India under his watch. He is also expected to clear the reasons why Suryakumar Yadav was handed the T20I captaincy ahead of Hardik Pandya, and the axing of Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma.

While someone like Riyan Parag has found places in both the ODI as well as the T20I squad, Ruturaj Gaikwad hasn't been considered in any. Ravindra Jadeja, who retired from T20Is with Kohli and Rohit, has also not been included in the ODI squad. Abhishek Sharma was also dropped from the T20I squad despite a hundred in Zimbabwe.
