Gayle admits he's Bollinger's bunny

By Super Admin

Adelaide, Feb.10 (ANI): West Indian captain Chris Gayle has admitted that he has become Australian left-arm pacer Doug Bollinger's bunny, but maintains his side can comeback to win the Commonwealth Bank one-day series.

Gayle, who predicted a 4-1 series drubbing for Australia before the series began, - was scalped first ball by Bollinger in the Adelaide ODI.

Man of the match Bollinger (4 for 28) - backed by half-centuries from unconquered Ponting (57) and all-rounder Shane Watson (53) sliced up West Indies as Australia marched to a 2-0 lead.

"He has my measure definitely. There is no doubt about that. I am looking forward to the contest - these things are good for the game. Hopefully we can get a good start in Sydney and we don't expose our middle order again," Gayle was quoted, as saying.

Gayle had raised Bollinger's ire when he said had never heard of him in the lead up to the Adelaide Test last December.

"I tried to bowl as straight as I could. It was great to get Chris Gayle again. If he wants to be my bunny he can. I'll be happy to get him again," said Bollinger, who added he felt more "hero" than party pooper in decimating the Windies.

Gayle still maintains the Windies can win the series 3-2. (ANI)
