GCA president Narhari Amin told mediapersons that the increase in reward money has been devised in a way that will encourage players to play better in matches in the coming series.

Though the total amount cannot be worked out exactly because of the dynamic system, it will be more than Rs 1.5 crore. If the Gujarat team wins the Ranji Trophy, the team will get Rs 47 lakh. In the Under-19 four day Match Plate group, the prize money has been increased from Rs 2.80 lakh to Rs 3.75 lakh.

Now there is money after every match.

In under 16 Pauli Umrigar Trophy, GCA will now give Rs one lakh to match the BCCI amount of Rs one lakh.

In the case of individual performance, Ranji player used to get Rs 2,000 for a century and Rs 2,000 for capturing five wickets. Now, the amount has been increased to Rs 5,000. Similarly, the amount for these performances in Under 14, 16, 19 and 22 has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 2,000.

Match fee for Under-14 and Under-19 and Under-22 has been increased by Rs 750 and Rs 2,000 respectively.

Match fee has been introduced for managers of Gujarat team for all categories from under 14 to Ranji from Rs 1500 to Rs 10,000.
