Rishabh Pant has been advised by former first-class cricketer Shreevats Goswami to get rid of his PR team after a 'confusing' post ahead of Neeraj Chopra's javelin gold medal match at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday.
On Wednesday, August 7 - a post from Rishabh Pant's X handle said, "If Neeraj chopra win a gold medal tomorrow. I will pay 100089 Rupees to lucky winner who likes the tweet and comment most . And for the rest top 10 people trying to get the atttention will get flight tickets . Let’s get support from india and outside the world for my brother."

Shreevats Goswami, who played 61 first-class matches before announcing his retirement last year, expressed shock at the nature of the post, especially when coming from the social media handle of a superstar India cricketer. He asked Pant to get rid of his PR team.
"I am confused? Yeh sab kya chal raha hai? Rishabh, you need to get rid of your PR mere bhai," Shreevats Goswami.
Rishabh Pant recently featured in India's white-ball tour of India. He started off slowly in the first T20I but ended up scoring 49, before staying unbeaten on two in the second T20I. He was rested from the first ODI.
However, he could not make an impressive comeback to ODI cricket. Pant was brought in for KL Rahul in the third ODI, however he got out for six as India were bundled out for 138 while chasing a 249-run target. The decision to include Pant in place of Rahul was criticised by many.
