Ghosal, Chinnapa edge one place higher in world rankings
New Delhi, June 5 (UNI) The latest PSA ranking has seen six junior squash players climbing the charts while seasoned pros Saurav Ghosal and Joshna Chinnapa, both edged one place higher.
Ghosal has moved up just one place to 42 while Ritwik Bhattacharya's rankings went down one place to 51st.
In the women' category, Chinnapa, also climbed one place to 40th while her counterpart Dipika Pallikal is ranked 80th compared to 91st in the last ranking.
However, there was big movement in the juniors section with Naresh Kumar jumping to 178 from 203, Parth Sharma from 269 to 231, and Partibhan Ayappan from 208 to 200.
In addition to this, Harinder Pal Sandhu, who was also a semi-finalist of the NSC Satellite, a PSA event held in Kuala Lumpur recently, has leaped to 159th from 208th.
The good show is not limited to only boys as the WISPA (Women International Squash Players Association) rankings for the girls saw Surbhi Misra and Anwesha Reddy scale up the charts to 110th. Both were tied 139th in the last rankings.
