IPL 2023: Glenn Maxwell and his Indian-origin wife Vini Raman are set to become first-time parents in September this year, Vini made the announcement with an Instagram post on Thursday.
In the heart-warming post, the wife of the Australia and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder also revealed that the journey hasn't been the "smoothest or easiest". She also extended moral support to couples struggling with child fertility or loss.

"Glenn & I are ecstatic to announce our rainbow baby is due September 2023. It’s so important for us to acknowledge this journey has not been the smoothest or easiest," Vini wrote in her Instagram post.
"I know first hand how painful it can be to see posts like these wondering if and when your time will be. We send our love and strength to other couples who are struggling with fertility or loss," she added.
Notably, a rainbow baby is a healthy baby born to a parent or family who has previously lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The term refers to the baby’s ability to help the parent or family heal after experiencing trauma.
The likes of Anushka Sharma and Danish Sait have reacted to the post.

Maxwell, 34, got married to Vini in March 2022. She is reportedly a pharmacist by profession. The pictures and videos of the star Australia cricketer's Indian wedding had gone viral on social media.
Maxwell is currently in India playing for the RCB in the IPL 2023. He has scored 330 runs in 11 matches at an average of 33 and a strike rate of 186.44. Only Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have scored more runs for RCB in the ongoing season.
