Australia legend Glenn McGrath has named the top four teams who can win the World Cup 2023. The ICC marquee event is set to be held in India from October 5 to November 14.
McGrath has made some early predictions for the 10-team event. He has said that Australia as always will be the contenders to grab the coveted trophy. He has also kept defending champions England in his four-team list.

What about India and Pakistan?
Hosts India and their arch-rivals Pakistan complete the list of four top teams which are the top contenders to win the World Cup 2023 according to the Australia legend.
“You wouldn’t be surprised I'm putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India are playing in their own conditions. England are playing some great cricket and Pakistan are also playing fine. So they are the best four,” McGrath told Times of India.
“India is probably the toughest place to be a fast bowler. Pitches are not that juicy here. But now young (seam) bowlers are coming from India, whom probably we haven't seen before. It’s because fast bowling here wasn’t as focused as it is now. If you succeed here, you can succeed anywhere in the world as a fast bowler,” McGrath added.
The round-robin format of the World Cup 2023 will see each team play against the remaining opponents once each. The matches will be played across 10 cities - Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The semi-finals will be held in Mumbai and Kolkata, while the final match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
