The GloFans High School Cup was officially launched today at the Hotel Holiday International in Sharjah, featuring a Trophy Launch and Award Ceremony for the Global High School Cricket Cup. The main event will be held in Sharjah and Ajman, with training facilities available in Dubai.
This year's tournament will see 20 top school teams from around the world competing. The six-day event will feature two matches each day, including two day-night matches under floodlights.

The event was marked by the unveiling of the tournament's official trophy, the launch of a theme song, and the presentation of an official t-shirt. These activities heightened excitement for the upcoming competition.
World Cup veteran and former English cricketer Dav Whatmore unveiled the grand theme song. He remarked, "It is important to nurture young talent and the school cricket players a pivotal role of school in shaping future stars."
The official t-shirt was launched by Mr. Shahzad Altaf, a celebrated UAE player from the 1996 World Cup and founder of Young Talents Cricket Academy (YTCA). His commitment to grassroots cricket development was evident as he shared his vision for the tournament.
A highlight was an engaging chat show hosted by sports expert Sunil Yash Kalra, founder of Sports quiz app "GloFans." He discussed school cricket's significance with legends like Saeed Ajmal and Dav Whatmore. They also touched on the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in UAE.
Saeed Ajmal stated, "This tournament will be a great platform to identify young talent. It will help budding cricketers understand the commitment and consistency required to play at the highest level."
