The inaugural Global Legends League, a T20 competition of the yesteryear players, is set to unfold in the USA later in 2024.
Through a press release, World Sports Group (WSG), the organizing body of the tournament announced the details of the tournament, which will take place across two months in the United States.

Top stars of the game across the globe will take part in the competition as it promises to set a new benchmark in franchise cricket tournaments.
There will be six teams participating in the tournament - India Legends, Pakistan Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends, England Legends and West Indies Legends.
The Global Legends League T20 tournament will be taking place in September-October 24 in the USA, with the exact dates yet to be confirmed. All the matches will be hosted at the International Cricket Stadium in Florida, which will host matches for the T20 World Cup in June as well.

The squads of each team will comprise 20 players. The selection process entails choosing 12 players from their respective countries in the National Category, while 8 players will be globally selected through an Auction process in the Global Category.
In every playing XI, seven National Players and Four Overseas/Global players can take part.
With each team allocated a player purse of $300,000 (Rs 2.5 crore) for the Global category, the GLL T20 ensures a level playing field for talent acquisition and team building. Additionally, the National category players will be directly signed by team owners through a draft process, subject to approval from the League Management & Core Committee, adding another layer of excitement and anticipation to the league.
The GLL T20 will be broadcast on Star Sports and Willow TV. In India, Star Sports is likely to Telecast the matches and Disney + Hotstar will provide the live streaming of all the matches. In USA, Willow TV is the likely broadcaster.
