In a spectacular display of skill and endurance, Goa batters Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar shattered records in the Ranji Trophy with their unbeaten partnership of 606 runs for the third wicket.
This monumental partnership, achieved against Arunachal Pradesh in Goa's Porvorim has not only set a new benchmark for the Ranji Trophy but has also become the second-highest stand in the annals of first-class cricket.

Previously, the highest partnership in the Ranji Trophy was 594 runs, a record set by Maharashtra's Swapnil Gugale and Ankit Bawne against Delhi in the 2016-17 season.
Bakle scored 300 not out and Kauthankar was unbeaten on 314. The duo were instrumental in Goa declaring their first innings at a colossal total of 727 for 2. In reply, Arunachal Pradesh got bundled out for 84 and 92 runs as Goa registered a mammoth victory by an innings and 551 runs.
The partnership between Bakle and Kauthankar overshadowed the previous Ranji record and now places the Goa duo just behind the iconic 624-run stand by Sri Lankan legends Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene against South Africa in 2006.
This event marks only the second instance in the history of the Ranji Trophy where two batters from the same team have scored triple centuries in a single innings. The first occurrence was back in the 1989-90 season when Tamil Nadu's WV Raman and AG Kripal Singh both achieved this feat against Goa.
