Lahore, Apr 21: Waqar Younis, former Pakistan pacer held the Government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCE) responsible for the International Cricket Council's (ICC) decision to take away Pakistan's co-hosting rights for the 2011 World Cup.
"We are helpless under prevailing circumstances that we can do nothing much against this ruling, because PCB is the one which let the ICC pronounce this ruling," The News quoted Younis, as saying.
Questioning, the country's ability to provide security for the foreign players; Younis said that the PCB has to start something like the Indian Premier League (IPL) to gain the confidence of other cricket playing nations.
When asked about the chances of Pakistan defeating Australia in the Dubai one-day international series which will be beginning from Apr 22, Younis said that it was the best opportunity for Pakistan to crush the World Champions.
Younis added that besides the weather conditions, pitches in UAE would also offer help to Pakistan.
