The Delhi Royals are all set to kick off their Legends 90 League journey with an exciting opener against the Chhattisgarh Warriors on Thursday, February 6, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
Owned by the Mannat Group, the Delhi Royals have assembled a formidable squad featuring cricketing legends from across the globe, with star batter Shikhar Dhawan leading the team.

The lineup boasts international stalwarts like New Zealand's Ross Taylor and West Indies' Lendl Simmons, adding depth and experience to their ranks.
Ross Taylor Eager to Return to India for the Tournament
New Zealand great Ross Taylor, one of the most accomplished cricketers in his country's history, shared his excitement about playing in India once again. With a stellar career comprising 236 ODIs (8,607 runs), 102 T20Is (1,909 runs), and 112 Tests (7,683 runs), Taylor is looking forward to the tournament's unique 90-ball format.
"I love coming to India. I've been here many times before, and this tournament presents a great opportunity to play alongside and against former international stars. Sharing the dressing room with players I've competed against in international and franchise cricket is always fun. The 90-ball format is new and exciting, and I am sure the fans in Raipur will have a great experience," Taylor said on the eve of the league.
He also highlighted the tactical challenge of the format, which demands rapid decision-making from both batters and bowlers.
"T20 cricket is already fast-paced, and 90-ball cricket will be even more intense. Bowlers will have to come up with new tactics to counter aggressive batting, while batters will need to assess conditions and adjust quickly. As a middle-order batter, I know how fast T20s move, and this format will be even quicker. Hopefully, from the Delhi Royals' point of view, we can start the tournament on a strong note," he added.
Taylor Excited to Play Under Dhawan's Leadership
Having faced Shikhar Dhawan on numerous occasions, Taylor is eager to experience playing under his captaincy for the first time.
"I'm looking forward to Shikhar leading from the front. I've played against him many times, but it will be great to finally share a dressing room with him."
