Ahmedabad, April 24: Defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT) will host record champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in match 35 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (April 25).

Hardik Pandya-led GT will look to carry on their winning momentum after securing their fourth win of the season in their last outing against Lucknow Super Giants, while Rohit Sharma-led MI will look to bounce back from defeat to Punjab Kings.

In the recent outings, GT defended a total of 135 against LSG in a low-scoring thriller in Lucknow. The defending champions opened their campaign with a 5-wicket home victory over Chennai Super Kings and followed that with an away 6-wicket win against Delhi Capitals.

But, the Pandya-less GT side were stunned at home by KKR, who pulled of a huge chase by 3 wickets in the final over. However, the reigning champs soon bounced back with a victory over PBKS in Mohali before being pegged back once again at home by Rajasthan Royals.

MI, on the other hand, brought to an end a three-match winning streak when they lost to PBKS by 13 runs, failing to chase down 215 in Mumbai. The Mumbai Indians, who lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore and CSK, beat DC, KKR and SRH on the trot before suffering third defeat of season.

This will be only the second meeting between the two sides in IPL. This will also be the first meeting between the two sides at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
