GT vs RR Stats and Records Preview: Players Who Can Cross Milestones In IPL 2023 Match 23

Ahmedabad, April 15: In a rematch of last season's final, Gujarat Titans (GT) will host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in match 23 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (April 16).

Hardik Pandya-led GT will look to carry on their winning momentum after securing their third win of the season in their last outing against Punjab Kings, while Sanju Samson-led RR will also look to do the same after pulling off a last-over thriller versus Chennai Super Kings.

In the recent outings, GT completed a run-chase by 6 wickets in the penultimate ball against PBKS in Mohali. The defending champions opened their campaign with a 5-wicket home victory over CSK and followed that with an away 6-wicket win against Delhi Capitals.

But, the Pandya-less GT side were stunned at home by KKR, who pulled of a huge chase by 3 wickets in the final over. However, the reigning champs soon bounced back with a victory over PBKS in Mohali.

RR, on the other hand, defended 175 against CSK by 3 runs in Chennai to get back among the wins after they defended 199 versus DC at their second home for the season in Guwahati, where they lost by 5 runs earlier to PBKS. In their season opener, RR beat SRH by 72 runs in Hyderabad.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides in IPL. This will also be the second meeting between the two sides at the Narendra Modi Stadium, where the two sides clashed last year for the final.
