GT vs CSK: Hardik Pandya to Ravindra Jadeja - Players Who Can Cross Milestones In IPL 2023 Qualifier 1

Four-time champions Chennai Super Kings and reigning champions Gujarat Titans clash in qualifier 1 of the IPL 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tueday (May 23) with the match set to start at 7:30 PM IST.

GT led by Hardik Pandya and CSK-led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni will look to carry their winning momentum from their recent victories as they aim to earn a direct entry into the IPL 2023 final.

While the winner of qualifier 1 heads to the final, scheduled to take place on Sunday (May 28), the loser will head into qualifier 2, where they will face the winner of the eliminator on Friday (May 26). Both those matches will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

GT opened their season with two successive wins, including the victory over CSK in the league stage, followed by a defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders, but have since won 8 of 11 matches with the recent result being a comprehensive win against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

CSK, on the other hand, opened their campaign with defeat to GT, but bounced back with two successive wins before being pegged back at home by Rajasthan Royals. The four-time winners, however, have won six in the last ten matches with recent result being victory over Delhi Capitals.

GT and CSK have already met once earlier this season in the curtain-raiser in Ahmedabad, where CSK rode on Ruturaj Gaikwad's 92 to set a target of 179, which was chased down by GT with five wickets in hand and 4 balls to spare thanks to Shubman Gill's 63.

The two sides will now clash for the second time this season and for the first time at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where several players including GT's Hardik Pandya and CSK's Ravindra Jadeja, have a chance to reach milestones or break records.
