GT vs DC: Gujarat Titans' experienced fast bowler Ishant Sharma had to leave the field during their IPL 2025 match against Delhi Capitals on 19th April at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, after suffering from dehydration.
The 36-year-old delivered two economical overs, conceding just 14 runs, before he appeared visibly fatigued and did not return to complete his spell.

Ishant began well, using clever variations to contain the batters, particularly during a disciplined over against Tristan Stubbs and Axar Patel. However, following the 13th over, he walked off the field accompanied by the medical team, as the soaring afternoon heat in Ahmedabad took a toll on the veteran pacer.
A stalwart in Indian cricket, Ishant Sharma boasts 311 Test wickets from 105 matches, along with 115 ODI wickets and 8 in T20Is. He has also picked up 486 wickets in 154 First-Class games, showcasing his enduring impact on the game across formats.
