IPL 2023, GT vs KKR: Shubman Gill reaches another IPL milestone

Gujarat Titans batter Shubman Gill has completed 2000 runs in IPL cricket on Sunday during the match between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders.

The batter started extremely well and played some exquisite shots. He needed 23 runs on the day to get to the milestone and now has reached it in his 74th inning.

The Gujarat Titans batter started his IPL career with Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 and played till 2021 for them. He was picked up by Gujarat Titans in 2022 and has been immense for them.

Gill scored 483 runs for GT last season as the Titans won the IPL title in their debut season. He started his IPL campaign extremely well in the first match, scoring 63 runs off just 36 balls.

After a cheap dismissal against Delhi Capitals, Gill looked back on track. Gill batted superbly for his 39 runs, before getting dismissed by the bowling of Sunil Narine.

Shubman Gill 2000 IPL Runs

Shubman Gill has 2016 runs in IPL. The batter has scored those runs at an average of 32.5 and a strike rate of 126. The 23-year-old also has 15 IPL fifties to his name, five of which have come for his current team Gujarat Titans. Gill also becomes the 49th player in IPL history to score 2000 and more IPL runs.
