In Match 63 of IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders will be welcomed by Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Monday (May 13).
After winning nine out of the twelve games, the Knights are now at the top of the points table, while GT is on the verge of elimination, losing seven out of the twelve. KKR have won the last four consecutive matches. The Titans have also won their last match against CSK after facing a hattrick of defeats.

Both of the former champions have met on three occasions, and Gujarat has won two of them. The Knight's only win against GT was in the last IPL, owing to Rinku Singh's last over miraculous five sixes.
IPL 2024 GT vs KKR: Bowling Squad Comparison
Despite having an experienced and balanced bowling unit, GT has struggled to maintain its reputation on the field. Mohit Sharma and Umesh Yadav will be their main options in terms of pace. The spin department will be managed by the Afghan spinner duo, Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad. Mohit Sharma also found his form, and with this sudden revival of the bowling line-up, GT is trying to sneak into the race to the play-offs.
On the other side, KKR has the most consistent bowling line-up in this IPL. Five of their bowlers have more than 11 wickets. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine are the key architects in defending the low scores in the last few matches. This spin duo has 33 wickets this season, which is the highest for spinners from any of the sides.
Whereas the pace attack remains very expensive despite getting wickets regularly, Harshit Rana has been exceptional in the death overs, while Andre Russell has made it a habit to shatter the opponents' middle orders in the middle overs. The expensive spells of Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora are the only concerns in the Knight's bowling.
IPL 2024 GT vs KKR: Who will Get Maximum Wickets in Match 63?
Mohit Sharma (GT): The 35-year-old veteran has 13 wickets this season. The right-arm medium-fast bowler has picked up 27 wickets in the last season and was a crucial part of the squad. To continue their IPL 2024 journey, GT will hope for a fiery spell from Sharma against the table-leaders.
Noor Ahmad (GT): The Afghan left-arm wrist-spinner has been brilliant in the last season, with 16 wickets in 13 matches. This season, the 19-year-old has picked up eight wickets so far. Ahmad was a pillar in GT's last campaign's successful run and will be expected to repeat the same in the remainder of the matches.
Varun Chakravarthy (KKR): The Karnataka-born right-arm leg spinner is leading the wicket-tally among the Knights bowlers, with 18 wickets. In the last match against MI, he was phenomenal and single handedly turned the fate of the match. Along with Narine, Chakravarthy will be a great matchup against David Miller.
Harshit Rana (KKR): The 22-year-old right-arm medium-fast bowler has successfully defended the Knights in the last overs in a few matches. Rana has bagged 16 wickets this season, and against GT, he will be challenged by the GT top-orders like Subman Gill and Sai Sudarshan. In this dearth of in-form pacers in the KKR squad, Rana has to continue his duty also against GT.
KKR became the first team to qualify for the play-offs. Though GT is trying to do the same, it will be quite an upheaval task as there are fierce competitions for the third and fourth spots on the table. A win against the Titan would virtually fix the Knights’ spot in the top-two, while for GT, a victory will be the lifeline for them. Hence, a high-scoring thriller can be expected from this clash.
