Hardik Pandya returns to face former employers when former champions clash in IPL 2024 Match 5 as 2022 winners Gujarat Titans take on joint record champions Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (March 24).

GT led by new skipper Shubman Gill will look to hand their former title-winning skipper Pandya a defeat on his captaincy debut for Mumbai Indians, who will for the first time not start a season under the leadership of their most successful captain Rohit Sharma.

Both teams will look to better their finish from last season as GT finished runners up, while MI were knocked out in the Eliminator by the Ahmedabad side in IPL 2023.

GT will be a confident side, having beaten the Mumbai Indians at home in the earlier fixtures. But will be aware that Mumbai Indians come into the season with renewed energy thanks to the return of Jasprit Bumrah, while the Titans will be without their pace spearhead Mohammed Shami.
