GT vs MI, IPL 2024: Who will be the highest wicket-takers in Gujarat vs Mumbai game?
On the third day of IPL 2024, last year's table leader Gujarat Titans will face five-time champions Mumbai Indians at Narendra Modi International Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (March 24).
Titans and Indians have faced each other four times and both have won two times each. The last time they met in the playoffs of IPL 2023 GT emerged victorious which led to the final.

IPL 2024: GT vs MI Bowling Squads Comparison
Both the teams have star-studded bowing squads. In the last IPL season, most of the names from the highest wicket-takers list were from these two teams.
In the last IPL season, Gujarat's bowling squad was phenomenal and played a quite significant role in their team's smooth run to the final. Purple cap winner of IPL 2023, Mohammed Shami will miss the match because of injury. Besides him, GT will depend on Rashid Khan, Mohit Sharma, Noor Ahmad, Sai Kishore, Umesh Yadav and Spencer Johnson.
MI's pace bowling attack is expected to be spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, as he will be eager to show some glimpses of his talents after missing the last season. Besides him, there will be bowlers like Piyush Chawla, Dilshan Madushanka, Jason Behrendorff, Nuwan Thusara and Tilak Varma to watch out for.

Mohit Sharma: The Haryana-born right-arm medium pacer was second highest wicket-taker after Mohammed Shami in the last IPL. He bagged 27 wickets in 14 matches. In his IPL career Sharma got 117 wickets in 100 matches. So, a similar performance just like last season will be expected from him.
Rashid Khan: Rashid Khan hailing from Afghanistan, is a dynamic and highly skilled leg-spinner and also happened to be the third-highest wicket-taker in the last IPL, with 27 wickets in 17 matches. In 107 matches he bagged 139 wickets with a 6.67 economy rate. Due to his consistency across the years, he will be expected to do some wonders in the match against the Indians also.
MI Probable Highest wicket-takers vs GT:
Jasprit Bumrah: The Indian fast bowler missed the Last IPL due to an injury. The excellent accuracy rate made Bumrah quite formidable in both the IPL and International cricket. He collected 145 wickets in his IPL career with a 7.39 economy rate. His ability to bowl in slog overs is expected to help MI in tomorrow's match also.
Piyush Chawla: The veteran Indian leg-spinner was the fourth-highest wicket takers in IPL 2023. He collected 22 wickets in 16 matches. He also has 179 wickets in his IPL career with an economy rate of 7.91. Except for a few seasons, he remains consistent in his IPL journeys across many franchises. He will be expected to continue his performance in the match against GT also.
GT will start their IPL journey with their new captain Subman Gill in their home ground. Despite a short history, the rivalry between these two teams remains quite competitive. Hence, a fierce battle between these two can be expected from Sunday evening's match.
