Rohit Sharma has managed to make his entry in two prestigious brackets during the IPL 2025 Eliminator against Gujarat Titans.
Despite having an underwhelming IPL 2025 season, Rohit has made a fantastic start in the Eliminator match. The India ODI captain notched up a fifty and gave MI a superb start with the bat. Currently, Rohit is batting unbeaten on 81 runs in just 48 deliveries.

The veteran batter has added another major achievement to his illustrious IPL career by becoming only the third player to score 7,000 runs in the tournament. The former Mumbai Indians captain also crossed the 300 sixes mark, joining a very elite club.
Rohit, who has been a mainstay in the IPL since its inception in 2008, reached the 7,000-run mark during the ongoing 2025 season. He now sits behind only Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan in the all-time run-scorers list of the league. Known for his elegant stroke play and ability to anchor the innings, Rohit has consistently been one of the most reliable batters in the league.
In addition to his run tally, Rohit also brought up 300 sixes - a testament to his clean hitting and timing. He is now only the third batter in IPL history to smash over 300 sixes, joining the ranks of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers. It's a rare feat that highlights his power-hitting ability and adaptability in T20 cricket, which has been evident for years now.
Mumbai Indians have also made a superb outing so far with the bat. After Jonny Bairstow (47 off 22) gave them a stormy start, Rohit Sharma has continued his onslaught. At the end of 16 overs, they are 175 for 2 and are looking on course for a huge total. The winner of this match will be taking on Punjab Kings in the Qualifier 2 on Sunday.
