A thrilling encounter in the IPL 2025 ended as Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans locked horns in the Eliminator on Friday (May 30).

As the things unfolded, there was a little flare-up between Jasprit Bumrah and Rahul Tewatia, who had an exchange of words.

In the 18th over, Jasprit Bumrah came into bowl and Rahul Tewatia hit him for a mammoth six in the deep mid-wicket region. The GT batter gambled and cleared the fence with ease. In the following delivery, Tewatia tried to unsettle Bumrah with some movements but failed to connect. In the next delivery, the southpaw missed again, and as he scampered through for a leg bye, Bumrah and Tewatia had a few exchanges of words.

While running past Bumrah, Tewatia grimaced and some of his words irked Bumrah. The Mumbai Indians pacer was heard saying 'Mereko maat Bol (Don't tell it to me)".

In reply, Tewatia was a bit annoyed and came up with a reply to the premier Indian pacer. The GT player said that his words were not intended to Bumrah as he was telling it to himself.

"Main tereko nahi bol raha hoon. Main khud ko bol raha (I'm not telling it to you, rather I am saying it to myself)," Tewatia replied.

The matter ended there as Bumrah went away back to his bowling run-up and Tewatia also didn't make any further comments to escalate the matter.
