In Match 45 of IPL 2024, Gujarat Titans will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (April 28).
Both the teams have faced each other on three occasions and GT has the edge over RCB with a 2 to 1 winning margin.

Gujarat's journey in this IPL remains inconsistent so far as they have won four out of the nine games they have played. They lost in their last match against DC by 4 runs. Whereas for RCB, the situation is much gloomier. They have won only two matchesthis season till now and as a result, are placed at the bottom of the points table.
Like the previous season, this year also the Titans have an experienced and balanced bowling squad. Despite that, they lost so many matches mainly due to the poor shows by the batters. With players like Mohit Sharma, Rashid Khan, Umesh Yadav, Sai Kishore and Noor Ahmad GT has a high chance of making a comeback in the tournament.
On the other hand, RCB has one of the weakest bowling sides in this IPL. Barring Mohammed Siraj, the lack of any seasoned international bowlers in the squad is a serious point of concern for the Challengers. Though in the last few matches performances by Karn Sharma, and Yash Dayal are quite decent.
Rashid Khan (GT): The 25-year-old Afghan has bagged 8 wickets this season with an economy rate of 7.44. The right-arm leg spinner already has 147 wickets in IPL. He will be very crucial against Faf du Plessis and Will Jacks in the match against RCB.
Mohit Sharma (GT): The 35-year-old veteran pacer has picked 10 wickets this season. In the previous season, he was phenomenal, as the right-arm medium-fast bowler bagged 27 wickets in that season. He will be expected to repeat a similar performance in this season also.
Yash Dayal (RCB): The left-arm fast-medium bowler has bagged 8 wickets. Despite a shaky start, Dayal's performances in the last few matches were quite decent. Now as the 27-year-old is in form, he is expected to create some problems for the GT top-order batters.
Karn Sharma (RCB): Karn Sharma has played only three matches in this season, and 3 wickets in the last two matches. Though Sharma has limited exposure in IPL, he is the best option in spin RCB have right now. If he continues his recent displays also in this match, it can be handy for RCB in the match against GT.
GT suffered a humiliating loss against DC in their last home match and they also lost two of their last three games. While RCB made a comeback with a win against the mighty SRH. In the match against KKR, the Challengers also played brilliantly but ended up in a loss by just a single run. Hence, RCB will come to Ahmedabad confident to win the match, but GT will try their best to keep alive their play-off dreams. Hence, an interesting match can be expected from this Sunday afternoon clash.
