GT vs RR, IPL 2026: Why did Toss Take Place Twice? Controversy and Confusion in Mullanpur!
Gujarat Titans will be up against Rajasthan Royals in the all important Qualifier 2 encounter of the IPL 2026 season on Friday (May 29) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur.
The toss has taken place and Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the Toss and chose to Bat first. But there was a piece of controversy during the coin toss, as it was done twice in Mullanpur.

GT vs RR: What is the Toss Controversy?
The toss was done twice in Mullanpur. RR captain Riyan Parag called Heads for the first time and it was Tails, but the match referee Prakash Bhatt said that he didn't hear Parag's call, which led to another spin of the coin. The second time of taking, RR won the toss and Riyan chose to bat first.
"We will bat first. Pretty much the same wicket, but I think it slows down at the backend, and we have the bowlers for it. We just need to play better cricket for 40 overs, the best team will win. The support staff have been incredible about recoveries and injuries," the RR captain said.
