Delhi Capitals registered an emphatic victory over Gujarat Giants to go level on points with Mumbai Indians in the WPL on Saturday (March 11).
The Giants were restricted for a paltry 105 runs, and the Delhi batters then chased the target down within 7.1 overs to register an emphatic victory by 10 wickets. After their loss against Mumbai in the last match, the Capitals roared back and fired with all cylinders.

Shafali Verma got the award for hitting 5 sixes in the match. She scored an unbeaten 78 runs off just 26 balls.
South African all-rounder Marizanne Kapp was awarded player of the match for her brilliant bowling. Kapp broke the back of the Giants' batting as she picked up 5/15 in her four overs.
She picked up Sabbineni Meghana, Laura Wolvaardt, Harleen Deol, Ashleigh Gardner and Sushma Verma as Giants were tottering at 33/6 at one stage.

"It's completely okay. Girls did the best they can do. So it's fine. Pitch was a bit skiddy. It was a good decision (at the toss) because the ball was coming on well. Hand is fine, hope it gets better. Shafali was fantastic tonight. All those shots were incredible."
"That was a pretty cool show to watch from the other end. I was just cheerleading from the other end. Some of the best hitting I've seen. I said just keep it simple. Stay still and hit the ball straight. I'm still to get over it. It seemed like a new ball wicket. Those sort of chases can be tricky if you go into shell. Marizanne Kapp was excellent today and she bowled extremely well. I love watching her bowl. She was frustrated with her performances so far - she shouldn't have been."
