Harbhajan Singh forays into television industry

New Delhi, Nov 16: Indian bowling ace Harbhajan Singh has forayed into the television industry teaming up with with Winay Mahajan to set up a Television Production Company called TRP which stands for 'The Right Picture'.

Harbhajan's close aide Sangeet Shirodkar and Bimal Unnikrishan who will be working as the as Creative Director are also part of the new company which will be working on Season 2 of Dance India Dance on Zee TV as its first project. This show is scheduled to go on air in Dec 2009.

In its first year, TRP will be concentrating on content for GEC and Sports Channels apart from collaborating with brands to create branded content for TV.

The Padmashree award recipient, who believes that it was Television which brought him closer to the people, said that this venture in the growing sector of Television and media industry was a step to further his business interests.

"At TRP we would create sports and non-sports content for our viewers. I am confident our team would work at its best to provide The Right Picture to our audience," Bhajji said.
